Polyvinylchloride (PVC)

Polyvinylchloride (CHEBI:53243) is a thermoplast that is produced by polymerization of the monomer vinylchloride. Two types exit: soft and rigid PVCs. Major products are tubing, isolations, floor panels, bottles, window frames etc.

No enzymes acting on the polymer are known. Predicted and not characterized enzymes will not be listed. In case you are aware of PVC-active and biochemically characterized enzymes, please contact the PAZY team.
